A Special Edition of the Open Innovation appointment dedicated to the Agriculture and Food & Beverage industries

Intesa Sanpaolo is organizing a special second appointment 2014 dedicated to technological early/later stage startups in the Agriculture, Food & Beverage fields.

The most promising entrepreneurs, currently in the training phase, will play the leading roles in the next FoodTech Open Innovation Day, an international investment forum to be held on Wednesday, September 24th 2014, starting 9:00 am, at the Auditorium - Fondazione Cariplo Conference Center, Via Romagnosi 8, Milan (Italy). The best among the finalist innovative companies could be also given the unique opportunity to present their projects during EXPO 2015, of which Intesa Sanpaolo is an Official Global Partner, with great business development opportunities.

Event focus:

- To provide an overview of the latest developments in the agri-food industry, which is becoming increasingly strategic at the global level
- To showcase cutting-edge technologies and innovative services applicable to this industry
- To offer a unique opportunity for evaluating one’s own strategic positioning in a fast-changing competitive environment.

The appointment is addressed to international companies, institutions and investors, and it is a unique opportunity for all who wish to gain insight on the Italian agri-food sector, its dynamics and its consumer trends. Participants will also have a chance to learn about some disruptive solutions (coming from worldwide) selected according to the industrial applicability of the technologies to this field.

The submitted entries concern the following subjects:

  • Farming and Production (Agriculture, Hydroponics, Biotech, Zootechnics, …)
  • Transformation (Quality & Safety, Nutraceutics, Advanced Materials, Cooking, …)
  • Marketing, Digital Distribution and Innovative Logistics (E-commerce, Social Fooding, HoReCa, Traceability, …)
  • Waste treatment e Sustainability (Biomass, Biofuels, …).

The event will be mostly held in English but a translation service to Italian will be provided.
