Intesa Sanpaolo is organizing the Agri-Food Open Innovation Day, to be held on Wednesday, May 18th 2011 at Palazzo Besana, Piazza Belgioioso 1, Milan (Italy).

The event will be the first of a series of quarterly meetings focused on the main "Made in Italy” sectors, aimed at supporting companies in the acquisition of new competitive advantages to successfully operate in both domestic and international markets. This new initiative joins the existing “Start-Up Initiative” events, which are specialized by technology.

Event focus:
- to provide an overview of the latest developments in the agri-food industry, which is becoming increasingly strategic at the global level
- to showcase cutting-edge technologies and innovative services applicable to this industry
- to offer a unique opportunity for evaluating one’s own strategic positioning in a fast-changing competitive environment

The event is addressed to Italian and international companies, institutions and investors, and it is a unique opportunity for all who wish to gain insight on the Italian agro-food sector, its dynamics and its consumer trends. Participants will also have a chance to learn about some of the most promising innovative projects (start-ups, spin-offs) selected according to the industrial applicability of the technologies to this field

The agenda for the event (in Italian) is available to the right.
